ABOUT US

Our community. Our choice. Our future.

The Expo

NoblePalooza, an Expo to Thrive, is a free community showcase featuring Noble County-based and serving organizations and businesses from all sectors of the economy. Participating "booths" offer free information and activities, all falling withing one or more of the 5 Pillars of Thrive. A local "marketplace" features small businesses and entrepreneurs and their wares and services. Cultural activities are also featured. NoblePalooza takes place on the second Saturday in March at the Community Learning Center in Kendallville.

Our Story

Thrive Noble County is an idea that took root in Noble County in 2008, based upon concepts developed by the founders of Hometown Competitiveness (HTC), a collaborative built in Nebraska. These concepts were introduced locally by the Dekko Foundation and have been adopted by many leaders in Noble County. Formed as the Thrive Steering Committee, these leaders fleshed out a consensus of thought about how Noble County, as a community, can thrive. The result is the development of the "5 Pillars of Thrive" a framework that is promoted to help residents and other stakeholders in Noble County become more intentional about making choices that strengthen the community under each of the 5 Pillars.

During 2023 and 2024, stewardship of the programs and initiatives and programs of Thrive were embraced by Be Noble Inc., Noble County's local economic development organization (LEDO) and serve as the foundation for community development.

What We Do

The 5 Pillars below form a framework designed to promote five essential areas of intentional development required for Noble County to thrive:

  •  Community Investment >

  •  Entrepreneurial Growth >

  •  Youth Engagement >

  •  Cultural Enhancement >

  •  Leadership Development  >

It takes a combination of each of these to have a community that works together and thrives. Collaborations, and the development and promotion of a high quality of life, are more important now than ever. The cooperative efforts of individuals and organizations involved in NoblePalooza, an Expo to Thrive, are to highlight and:

  • Increase the growth and retention of locally-owned businesses

  • Increase the number of meaningful opportunities for youth engagement in our community

  • Increase the number (and effectiveness) of citizens engaged in leadership

  • Increase participation in fulfilling development needs

  • Increase local appreciation of and participation in cultural activities

Those who participate in NoblePalooza are asked to subscribe to the framework and provide information, activities, and opportunities for members of the community to engage in the 5 Pillars.
